Ask

Increase information for students voting in the 2024 presidential election.

Problem

As the presidential debate on our campus was canceled, traction for voting and information surrounding the election slowed in our campus community.

Insight

As a university with the majority of students coming from an underrepresented background, first time voters face more challenges about awareness and desire to vote.

Results

  • 1,200 members joined our Instagram Broadcast Channel

  • 1,500+ engagements on Instagram posts​

  • 1,126 votes on the TXST campus on election day (not including early voting)

  • TXST voting center saw the second-highest number of voters out of all the polling centers in Hays County
